ACS Newsletter April 12, 2026

Greetings, Coyote Families.

Thanks for a successful return from Spring Break! This week, we have Check-in testing for 3- 8th grade and the mClass EOY window opens for our Kinders and 2nd graders. It is very important that students get a good night’s rest and are at school on time and for the full day.

  • Please ensure students adhere to the dress code. There have been some inappropriate outfits this past week. We want to ensure students are dressed to learn and not be a distraction to classmates.

  • Worth repeating: we are entering testing season. This means students need to be present and on time more than ever to have the best review and the best chance for success on EOY and EOGs.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

The following Wednesdays will now be full days:

April 15th(THIS WEEK!)

May 6th

May 13th

SPRING PICTURES!

Picture Day has been rescheduled to April 23rd! We will take sports TEAM pictures on Tuesday of this week, not individual pictures. More information about the spring Pictures will be given soon!

First Annual Sneaker Ball

We enjoyed our first Sneaker Ball! Students had a chance to let their hair down and jam to the latest tunes, all while raising money to offset their field trip costs for next year. Special Thanks to the staff members who stayed to help and worked a 14-hour day to make sure the students had fun!

THE GIVING MARKET

The GIVING MARKET STORE IS OPEN!

Our Giving Market product fundraiser is off to a good start but we could still use your help! You can help by registering (send 10 emails and your child earns a FREE prize!), shopping, and selling to family and friends at https://www.givingmarket.shop/150649

Students also earn VIP Ducks by selling items and turning in tickets from their packets that came home 3 days ago —> more sales = more ducks! Let’s keep the excitement going and help them earn even more rewards and help our school! 🙌 Thank you for the support! Reach out to givingmarket.com/help with any questions!

Several prizes have already gone out! Lets make this the best fundraiser ever!

Fowler Family Art Competition Now - May 6th

The Fowler Family is hosting our first annual art competition at ACS this Spring.  Beginning now through May 6th, students in any grade may enter a work of art.  Students may use any art medium that is not digital and include any appropriate subject matter (Copyrighted but not traced subjects are okay for this competition).  Art pieces must be submitted to Mrs. Kellie in the Art Room (213) no later than May 6th to be judged by the Fowler Family.  There will be one winner per grade level and one Best in Show for each of the following groups: K-1st, 2nd-4th, and 5th-8th.  Grade level winners will receive a Chick-fil-A gift card, and Best in Show winners will receive $50 provided by the Fowler Family.  Winners will be announced before the end of the year and put in the newsletter.  Artwork will be displayed in local businesses and returned in the summer or early next year.  Please include your full name, grade level, title of the artwork, and contact information on the back so the artwork may be returned.  We hope all of you will enter our exciting new, exclusive ACS art competition!

Thank you,

Fowler Family!

COYOTE CAFE

The Coyote Cafe will be open every Thursday until May 21st.  Please help our ACS Ambassadors raise funds for our food pantry every week by buying fresh fruit, crackers, granola bars, juice boxes, flavored water, and other delicious treats in the elementary gym during morning carline.  Thank you for your continued support.

VOLUNTEERING

We have loved having so many volunteers in the classroom! Thank you for supporting our students and staff!

Volunteerism at our school is a way for you, parents and guardians, to learn more about ACS, engage in a positive way with your child’s teachers, and witness firsthand the hard work and dedication that all our staff - teachers, assistants, support staff, and administrators demonstrate each and every day.

It is also a way to support your student and other students by assisting with workstations or small groups, helping with clerical tasks or lunch, and/or reading a book to the class. You don't have to be an educator to volunteer, and everyone is welcome.  Please click on the ACS Volunteer Form Link below to find ways you can volunteer to support our school.
