Greetings Coyote Families!
We are making progress, and I am proud of the accomplishments we have achieved already this year. While this week will be less eventful than recent weeks, it is our first FULL week in a long time. We will also be sending report cards home this week electornically so please stay tuned!
Elementary Carline Reminder: Please Do Not Use the Inner Circle. We understand mornings/afternoons can be rushed, but we need your help to keep the carline safe. For the safety of our students/staff/parents, and to maintain an efficient traffic flow, please remember that the inner lane/circle is closed for afternoon carline and should not be used. Utilizing only the outer two lanes helps us keep the line moving smoothly and safely. This requires you to follow the whole loop around. If you do not adhere to this rule, you will be asked to exit the carline and re-enter the correct way. Thank you for your cooperation!
Clothing Donations Needed
We have had a few requests for some gently used clothing for the fall and winter seasons. If you have any of the following sizes and are willing to donate them, we would greatly appreciate it. You may drop the clothing off at the front office and we will make sure they get to the appropriate families.
Boys'/Mens' Fall/Winter Clothing Sizes- 9-24 months, 3T, 7/8, 8y, 8-10, 13y, 30x32 mens' pants, small mens' shirts, M/L mens' sweatpants
Boys/Mens' Shoes- Toddler 7.5-8, 2.5y, Mens 10-10.5
Girls' Fall/Winter Clothing Sizes- 6/7, 8 (pants especially!)
Thank you in advance for your generosity!

5th Grade Field Trip
I wanted to give a special shout-out to the 5th-grade team of teachers, parents, and students! I was able to attend the field trip to Camp Hanes with them. Not only did we have a lot of fun, but all the activities were aligned to 5th-grade standards, and the food was really good! We also received numerous compliments from the Camp staff, who said that our group was the most respectful and well-behaved they had served in a long time! The last point alone made me proud to be the principal of ACS!

ACS WINTER SPORTS:
The Coyotes would conclude their second week of the season with games against Blessed Sacrament School. Players would bring strong effort and competitiveness in both games. Coaches would see improvements from the first week of play. The Coyotes will head back to the Den on Tuesday, 11/18/25, to play host to Clover Garden School. Come show your Coyotes pride and cheer on the teams! Teams will head to Burlington, NC, on Thursday, 11/20/25 in a PMAC Conference match-up vs. The Burlington School. ACS Athletic Fees:
Athletic Families, please check your athlete's Infinite Campus account to ensure you have satisfied your athletic fees. Our payment system has been adjusted for our fall fees (Girls Volleyball, Boys Soccer, Co-Ed Golf). Please check your account to satisfy this obligation.
Winter Sports athletic fees have been assessed to (Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball & Cheerleading) Infinite Campus accounts. Parents(Guardians), please make sure that you have made this required payment. Failure to pay the $25 athletic fee will impact your athletes' participation status AND disqualify them from receiving end-of-year athletic awards at our sports banquet.
"We have extended the due date. Please pay the Fall Sports Participation fee ASAP."

ACS Week Recap:
11/14 Away Basketball vs. Blessed Sacrament
The Lady Coyotes would head downtown, Burlington, NC, to take on the Knights of Blessed Sacrament. In the non-conference matchup, the Lady Coyotes played a scrappy game. The Lady Coyotes would have a tight defensive first half vs. BSS. Going into halftime tied 4-4. The Lady Coyotes would face tough defensive pressure coming out of the first half as BSS would go on an 8-2 run in the final 2 quarters of the game. Center #12 Peyton Swann would grab 11 rebounds on the night, and PF #34 Laliah King would grab 7 rebounds. The Lady Knights would take the win 12-6!
The Coyotes of ACS would look to get into the win column against the Knights of Blessed Sacrament School. The game began like a track meet with both teams pushing the tempo and trading baskets. Going into the half, BSS would have a 23-18 lead. ACS would keep the pressure on, led by Captain/Forward #23 Camden Hawkins, with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. The team would rally back late in the fourth quarter with a full-court pressure defense and bring the game within two points. Stellar defensive play by Captain/PG #2 Ali Mohamed and key shots by Forward #5 Ja'Nari Patterson. ACS big men #30 Elliot French & #33 Logic Morning would combine for 16 rebounds in the game. The Knights would take the 2-point win 41-39.

VOLUNTEERING
We have loved having so many volunteers in the classroom! Thank you for supporting our students and staff!
Volunteerism at our school is a way for you, parents and guardians, to learn more about ACS, engage positively with your child’s teachers, and witness firsthand the hard work and dedication that all our staff - teachers, assistants, support staff, and administrators demonstrate each day.
It is also a way to support your student and other students by assisting with workstations or a small group, helping with clerical tasks or lunch, and/or something as simple as reading a book to the class. You do not have to be an educator to volunteer, and everyone is welcome! Please click on the ACS Volunteer Form Link below to find ways you can volunteer to support our school.
