Are you a Registered Nurse (RN) looking for a 11-month position that is 5 days per week, Monday - Friday, with the same holidays and breaks as your school age children?  If you answered yes, then this might be the perfect position for you!  


ACS is searching for a full-time school nurse who will carry out day to day medical care and preventive care due to Covid-19.  To qualify for this position, you must be a certified Registered Nurse (RN).  The School Nurse contract will begin in early August, 2022 and will terminate on June 30, 2023. However, if federal funds are provided for additional year/s, there could be an option to extend the contract.


The ACS School Nurse duties will include:

  • Provide COVID-19 support and response in schools.

  • Preventing and responding to communicable disease outbreaks.

  • Developing and implementing plans for emergency health related assistance for students and staff, when needed.

  • Managing medication administration, including administering, delegating to other school staff when appropriate, and providing associated health & safety teaching, when needed.

  • Assuring that mandated health-related activities and paperwork is completed.

  • Providing health education and counseling for students, parents, and staff, if needed.
