Middle School Sneaker Ball!

Our middle schoolers have worked hard and deserve a chance to dance their night away with a Sneaker Ball! The date is April 10th! Permission slips were emailed in the grade level newsletters, and hard copies will be shared tomorrow. To attend, students must have No Major referrals, no more than 3 minor write-ups, and no missing assignments in the 3rd trimester.

COYOTE CAFE

The Coyote Cafe will be open every Thursday until May 21st.  Please help our ACS Ambassadors raise funds for our food pantry every week by buying fresh fruit, crackers, granola bars, juice boxes, flavored water, and other delicious treats in the elementary gym during morning carline.  Thank you for your continued support.

Green Out Day

Each year, thousands of schools, districts and youth-serving organizations nationwide come together to celebrate Say Something Week (March 23rd-27th).  Say Something Week is a powerful movement that spotlights the impact of Trusted Adults and Upstanders in our community.

On Wednesday, March 25th, ACS will be having a GREEN OUT DAY! Wear green as a symbol of unity, support, and solidarity with Sandy Hook Promise. Additionally, school counselor, Scott Tribotte and school social worker, Cindy Gittens will be meeting with 4th-8th grade students to discuss school culture and climate, and how the Say Something Program is impacting our school community.

GENESIS BEFORE/AFTERSCHOOL UPDATE!

EMAIL EMOJIS

We’ve recently updated our operating systems to allow the use of emojis in email responses. Though it may be more personal to send a worded email, know that a staff member using this new tool is for efficiency and to acknowledge receipt. At no point is it the intent to diminish the purpose of your email(s). Please let me know if, at any point, you feel this tool is being abused and that you are not getting the responses you need.

VOLUNTEERING

We have loved having so many volunteers in the classroom! Thank you for supporting our students and staff!

Volunteerism at our school is a way for you, parents and guardians, to learn more about ACS, engage in a positive way with your child’s teachers, and witness firsthand the hard work and dedication that all our staff - teachers, assistants, support staff, and administrators demonstrate each and every day.

It is also a way to support your student and other students by assisting with workstations or small groups, helping with clerical tasks or lunch, and/or reading a book to the class. You don't have to be an educator to volunteer, and everyone is welcome.  Please click on the ACS Volunteer Form Link below to find ways you can volunteer to support our school.
