ACS Newsletter February 15, 2026

Greetings, Coyote Families.

It was a busy week, but a GOOD and fulfilling week! ACS is doing great things, and I can’t wait to see what our next chapters hold. This coming week will be full of Assessments, so please make sure your students are on time and well-rested! One Major update for the week…tomorrow, Monday, February 16th, is a school day for all students. This is a makeup day for our recent snow days.

4TH ANNUAL COYOTE CONNECTIONS

Thank you all for an amazing turnout for the 4th Annual! It was a great turnout with a lot of good information. Special thanks to our Parent Panel, who shared a different lens for potential families; Mr. Tribotte for making sure our 8th-grade students and families had information about High School, as well as parent connections; and our instructional team (Mrs. Quick and Mrs. Snyder) for leading informational sessions. Thank you to RISE & SIP Pop-up for the delicious drinks. Thank you to Genesis and PTO for making our new families feel welcomed, and thank you to the ACS staff for showing up and showing out for our coyote families. The admin team was so pleased and still on a high from the experience!

1st Annual Student/Staff Basketball game

The whole ACS community is still on a high from the wonderful event held this week. The students came full force to show why they were on the team, all 23 of them! However, at the end of the day, they were no match for the 9 staff members who had a little basketball experience! We paid for it the next day with some aches, pains, and injuries, but the bragging rights helped us through the remainder of the week! Regardless of the winner, It was a great experience for our community, and we are already looking forward to the next one! Special thanks to Coach Long for orchestrating this successful event and to the PTO for the concession sales.

TESTING

The testing dates for MOY and Check-ins have been changed due to weather and school closures. Please make sure students are present and on time this week so that they can do their best.

VOLUNTEERING

We have loved having so many volunteers in the classroom! Thank you for supporting our students and staff!

Volunteerism at our school is a way for you, parents and guardians, to learn more about ACS, engage in a positive way with your child’s teachers, and witness firsthand the hard work and dedication that all our staff - teachers, assistants, support staff, and administrators demonstrate each and every day.

It is also a way to support your student and other students by assisting with workstations or a small group, helping with clerical tasks or lunch, and/or something as simple as reading a book to the class. You don't have to be an educator to volunteer, and everyone is welcome.  Please click on the ACS Volunteer Form Link below to find ways you can volunteer to support our school.
