ACS Newsletter April 6, 2026

Greetings, Coyote Families.

I hope everyone enjoyed the much-needed Spring Break! This week, we will hit the ground running with test review and get back into the swing of school! Below is this week’s newsletter. Please read it in its entirety, but I did want to highlight several things:

  • Please ensure students adhere to the dress code. There have been some inappropriate outfits this past week. We want to ensure students are dressed to learn and not be a distraction to classmates.

  • We are entering testing season. This means students need to be present and on time more than ever, so they can have the best review and the best chance for success on EOY and EOGs.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

As a result of the snow, we have to make up time from the school Calendar.

We also missed March 16th because of the extreme winds, so our updated schedule is below:

The following Wednesdays will now be full days:

April 8th (THIS WEEK!)

April 15th

May 6th

May 13th

The last day of school will now dismiss at 12:15!

SPRING PICTURES!

ACS March Pack Leaders of the Month!

Congratulations to our staff members who are leading the Pack!

ACS Coyotes of the Month!

Congratulations to our students who are also leading the Pack!

Middle School Sneaker Ball!

Our middle school students have worked incredibly hard this year, and we are excited to reward their efforts with a Sneaker Ball on Friday, April 10th. Permission slips have already been distributed via the grade-level newsletters, and hard copies will be provided to students in class tomorrow. Please note that attendance is a privilege reserved for students who have met our 3rd-trimester expectations: specifically, students must have no major referrals, no more than three minor write-ups, and no missing assignments.

Regarding the evening's attire, please ensure students follow the dress code guidelines previously shared by their teachers. Additionally, because the dance will be hosted in the Middle School Gym, sneakers are mandatory to protect the facility's flooring. For this reason, dress shoes and other non-athletic footwear will not be permitted inside the dance. We look forward to a fun and memorable night of celebration!

COYOTE CAFE

The Coyote Cafe will be open every Thursday until May 21st.  Please help our ACS Ambassadors raise funds for our food pantry every week by buying fresh fruit, crackers, granola bars, juice boxes, flavored water, and other delicious treats in the elementary gym during morning carline.  Thank you for your continued support.

VOLUNTEERING

We have loved having so many volunteers in the classroom! Thank you for supporting our students and staff!

Volunteerism at our school is a way for you, parents and guardians, to learn more about ACS, engage in a positive way with your child’s teachers, and witness firsthand the hard work and dedication that all our staff - teachers, assistants, support staff, and administrators demonstrate each and every day.

It is also a way to support your student and other students by assisting with workstations or small groups, helping with clerical tasks or lunch, and/or reading a book to the class. You don't have to be an educator to volunteer, and everyone is welcome.  Please click on the ACS Volunteer Form Link below to find ways you can volunteer to support our school.
