PROJECT CELEBRATION
Thank you all for coming out to our very first Coyote Museum! We hope you enjoyed it and were able
to see how hard our students have been working this past trimester. Our second graders have decided
to keep their gift shop going for ACS students this week. More information on items and prices will
come in a separate email and your child’s teacher will coordinate with the second grade team regarding
shopping days and times. Profits go toward their 3rd trimester project.
Please also enjoy some pictures from our celebration! (Bottom of page.)
BOOSTERTHON FUNDS
With the $25,000 that was raised from Boosterthon, we plan to purchase and install an awning at the back of the building by the gym. This benefits everyone, especially on rainy days during the carline.
Before installing it, we must submit the drawings and get approval/permit from the City of Graham. I have been working with the awning company to prepare the drawings and with our contractor to roll this project into our Phase 2 site permitting and our expansion construction project of the 10-classroom cottage that will begin this spring. Below is a picture of what it will look like.
PROTECT CHARTER SCHOOL FUNDING
Every year, Congress decides how much money should go towards new charter schools. Your voice matters most as they deliberate.
Since the pandemic began nearly three years ago, more than 240,000 new students enrolled in charter schools while 1.5 million students left their assigned public schools. It’s important that families have more public education choices—not fewer.
The Charter Schools Program is the only source of federal funding that helps new charter schools open and great charter schools grow and replicate. We need your help in asking Congress to protect and grow this program, particularly to support the cost of charter school buildings. Families deserve the chance to choose the public education option best for their children, and all public school students deserve access to great school facilities.
Take one minute to complete this short form which will send an email to your Members of Congress in Washington.
