Greetings, Coyote Families!
I hope everyone has enjoyed the long weekend. Just a reminder, there is no school for students tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8th, and students will return on Wednesday. We also hope to see you on Thursday for our Level Up Curriculum Night. There is more information below. Though it is a short week, let's make sure it is a Great one!

Wednesday, September 9, Wear Red!

Please help us support Duchenne Awareness Day!
For those who have not yet had the amazing opportunity to meet Jack, he is a student in our EC classroom who is diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a genetic condition that causes muscles to become weaker over time.
We are asking all of our friends at Alamance Community School to join us in wearing RED on Wednesday, September 9, to show Jack our love and support, spread awareness, and remind him that he is STRONG, BRAVE, and NEVER alone!
Be Kind. Be Strong. Be Jack’s Crew!
❤️ LET’S FILL OUR SCHOOL WITH RED FOR JACK! ❤️
Different doesn’t mean less. It means AMAZING.
Level Up Curriculum Night
How can we best support our students this school year? Let’s talk about it!
Please join us this Thursday evening in the Middle School Gym for Curriculum Night. We’ll discuss our academic goals, test prep, and how parental involvement creates a real game-changer for student proficiency.
We’ll keep it brief, and food trucks will be available for a quick bite while you gather info. We can't wait to see you there!

7th Graders Need Updated Immunizations on or before the 1st day of School
Students entering 7th grade are required to have one dose of the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccine and, for those who have not already received it, one dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine. Please contact your student's health care provider or the local health department to obtain an updated immunization record or to make an appointment, if your child needs those vaccines.
Parents/guardians of students enrolled in 7th grade will be required to provide current proof of vaccination (i.e., a Certificate of Immunization from the NC Immunization registry) on or before the first day of school, August 11, 2026.
If proof of vaccination is not provided within 30 calendar days of the first day of school, your child will be excluded from school until a current shot record is provided, as required by law. This exclusion goes into effect on September 11th.
For more information on required immunizations in NC, please visit: https://immunization.dph.ncdhhs.gov/family/nc_immnz_requirements.htm
