CONSTRUCTION & SCHOOL PLANNING UPDATE
Dear Families,
It’s hard to believe that this is the last day in May and we are heading into the summer season! In between all of the storms for the past couple of weeks, the construction crew has been working very hard framing the first and second floor. They worked all day last Saturday and also on Memorial Day. The first picture is from Tuesday and the last picture is from Friday afternoon before the crew had to stop due to the incoming storm. They also began installing the duct work and the outlets on the first floor. You can see some of that work on in the pictures above as well. I’ve been told that they should be ready to start the roof on Friday!

Jen manages our SchoolMint account and is able to assist with your questions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Current Registration Information
If you have been offered a spot for your child to attend, I strongly encourage you to accept the offer and begin the registration process ASAP.
Also, make sure that you are contacting your child’s doctor and school offices to
access their records for the registration process. If your child’s doctor’s appointment isn’t
until the summer, upload all the other documents and in that spot, upload a picture of the
doctor appointment date. As long as status is "Registration in Progress," you will not lose
your spot. We understand that it is still difficult to get certain documents and appointments
and that many students will not receive a final report card until mid-June.

MY FAVORITE BOOK FOR THE WEEK:
This past week, John, my ‘baby” (he is 20 years old), and I were talking about one of his favorite children’s books, Olivia by Ian Falconer. John was laughing and saying that he always enjoyed the Olivia books, because she was so lively and good at making messes. She is also good at wearing people out!! We also enjoyed many of the other Olivia books.
Olivia was written in 2000 and is a Caldecott Honor book. The Olivia book series was inspired by Ian Falconer's niece, Olivia. "I was just entranced by her," he stated. "I wanted to make a little present for her, so I started working on the Olivia book." Ian Falconer lives in Los Angeles, CA. His illustrations have been on numerous covers of The New Yorker and he has also designed sets and costumes for the New York City Ballet, the San Francisco Opera, and the Royal Opera House.
As I began looking for resources to go along with this week’s book, imagine my surprise when I found the “Olivia The Pig Official Tube Channel” (see link below). If you do not have a copy of the book, I also found it in a pdf (see link). I hope you and your children enjoy this book as much as we did!!
REGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED
As long as status is "Registration in Progress," you will not lose your spot. We understand how hard it is to get certain documents and appointments right now.

If you have been offered admission &/or if you have accepted, you need to begin the Registration Process ASAP!

CALL FOR EXTRA LEGOs, BLOCKS, BUILDING TOYS & BOOKS
If you are doing “spring cleaning”, we would love to have any extra LEGOS, blocks, and building materials for our LEGO/Engineering class. Also, if you have children’s books (all levels) that you are no longer using, please set those aside for us too! Once we are able to resume normal activities, I will arrange a time and a place for collecting the LEGOS, blocks, and books.
