Scott Tribotte

School Counselor

Scott Tribotte grew up in Rochester, New York with his younger brother and parents. He attended his local middle and high school before going to the University of New England for undergrad in Biddeford, Maine. At UNE, he received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Marine Biology as well as a 7-12 teaching certificate in Biological Sciences. He swam competitively for four years and held the Men's team captain position for his third and fourth years. His second year, he had the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Queensland, Australia at James Cook University at Townsville. Exploring the Australian culture and experiencing wildlife like he has never seen before has been one of the most extraordinary experiences of his life.

Upon graduating Mr. Tribotte got a job teaching 7th grade science in Nashua, New Hampshire at Pennichuck Middle School. He had an amazing first year experience. He learned who he was as an educator and how he could use his zany energy to build relationships with and motivate his students. His travels then brought him to Burlington, North Carolina where he got a job as 7th grade science teacher at Broadview Middle School. He taught at Broadview for four years where he realized his passion for working with students on their emotional, social development more than teaching them the science curriculum.

After leaving teaching, he enrolled in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Masters in School Counseling program. He was placed at Voyager Academy Elementary School for his internship and then was fortunate enough to be hired and have two wonderful years as the Artselor (half art teacher, half counselor) under the leadership of Leslie Paynter. This past year he was a counselor at Siler City Elementary school working with PreK - 5th grade students. He has learned a lot throughout his career as an educator and looks forward to putting that knowledge to use as a Coyote at ACS!!!
