Sarah Mayle

Sarah Mayle is delighted to be a member of the Alamance Community School staff. She is a graduate of Duke University, is licensed in K-6 and gifted education, and has worked in education since 2007. With a Master’s in Elementary (K-6) Education, her classroom experience includes teaching Kindergarten, first, and fourth grades, as well as serving for seven years as a STEM and AIG specialist at a local elementary school. As the talent development facilitator for a nearby school district, she supported and coached teachers to differentiate and enrich curriculum for all learners. Sarah believes in facilitating a learning environment in which students take ownership of their learning through problem solving and inquiry. Her students will learn to ask questions, collaborate with others, and explain their thinking.

Sarah has a passion for teaching and enjoys sharing her love of math and STEM with her students. She is excited to begin her new adventure as a middle school teacher!
