Pam Snyder

Reading Interventionist

Mrs. Snyder moved to NC in 2021. She grew up in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York State. She retired from teaching in NYS in 2021 after teaching Grade 6 and Title 1 Reading and Math for a combined 24 ½ years. She taught in the same district for her entire career and 20 of those years in the same school building. She holds the following degrees: Associate in Business Admin, Bachelor of Science- Elementary Education PreK-6, and a Master in Science- Literacy K-12. Ms. Snyder moved to NC after retirement to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. She also has an adult son who lives in PA.
In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time with her 2 granddaughters, cooking, walks, and watching sports both live and on tv.

She knew she was not ready to leave the classroom fully. This is her third year at ACS. Mrs. Snyder has always created a warm and nurturing environment where children feel loved, heard, and respected. “Building a strong student rapport is critical for learning.” She looks forward to serving the students of Alamance Community School, helping them to become more confident and competent readers.
