Alamance Community School is committed to helping students become engaged citizens by finding meaning in learning through exploring real-world problems and creating innovative and exciting solutions.
SCHOOL OVERVIEW
Alamance Community School (ACS) is a tuition-free NC Public Charter school in Alamance County that opened in August 2020 serving Kindergarten – Third Grade. ACS will add a grade level each year until reaching Eighth Grade in 2025. ACS is a Project Based Learning (PBL) school offering a unique academic program that exemplifies the best in collaborative, real world learning, while preparing our students for the 21st Century.

Class size: approximately 20 students

School Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM, Wednesdays 8:15 - 1:15

EVERY Wednesday will be a 2-hr early release day to allow time for staff professional development and planning to ensure that our teachers and staff continue to grow as educators and are life-long learners. Our After-Care provider will provide on-site, fee-based extended care for those who wish to use their services. After-care of early release days begins at the dismissal from our instructional day.
