Erica Moyer is excited to continue her teaching journey as a literacy specialist at Alamance Community School. She graduated from Meredith College in 2016 with a K-6 Teaching Licensure and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has taught second and third grade, and she looks forward to a new year with Coyote students and families! 

Her favorite aspects of teaching are developing meaningful relationships with each of her students, and making learning fun through engaging and exciting lessons. She looks forward to encouraging a positive and empathetic atmosphere within her classroom and within the Alamance community.

Erica lives in Mebane with her husband and children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, spending time on the lake, experiencing new places, and finding ways to be active. She feels blessed to be a part of the Alamance Community School team, and she feels honored to be a part of each Coyote life.

Evan Johnson is excited to continue teaching at Alamance Community School as a math intervention specialist . Evan and her family moved from the Napa Valley to Mebane, NC in May 2020. She lives in Mebane with her husband, 2 kids, and 3 cats. Evan loves to go on adventures, hiking, reading, being in nature, cooking, sewing, and finding good restaurants.

Before teaching at ACS, Evan taught in California. She has taught a range of grades: kindergarten, second grade, fifth grade, technology, and reading intervention. She is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to ACS and work with students, teachers, and families.

Mrs. Snyder has lived in NC for 3 years after growing up and living in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York State. She retired from teaching in NYS in 2021 after teaching Grade 6 and Title 1 Reading and Math for a combined 24 ½ years.. She holds a BS.Ed and a M.Ed in Literacy both from Elmira College. Moving to NC after retirement to be closer to her grown children, she knew she was not ready to leave the classroom fully. This is her second year at ACS and her third year teaching literacy in NC.

Mrs. Snyder has always created a warm and nurturing environment where children feel loved, heard, and respected. “Building a strong student rapport is critical for learning.” She looks forward to serving the students of Alamance Community School, helping them to become more confident and competent readers.

Mrs. Snyder lives in Mebane and enjoys cooking, going for walks and runs, reading especially biographies and historical fiction, following collegiate sports as well as the Boston Red Sox. She enjoying spending time with her 2 grandchildren who live in the area, her son who lives in SC, and her friends.

Tayloir Ford is from Trinity, NC and is excited about joining the ACS family as a literacy specialist. She holds a teaching degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  She has 7 years of teaching experience through Durham Public Schools, teaching 2nd grade for three years and four years as a reading interventionist. Ms. Ford has always had a love for children. She looks forward to building relationships with students and parents, as she helps students reach their maximum potential, both personally and academically. 

Ms. Ford lives in Burlington with her one year old daughter, Raelyn. When she isn’t spending time with family and friends, she enjoys hiking, watching Netflix, and going to the beach. She is so excited to join Alamance Community, and can’t wait to meet all of the wonderful people involved!
