Stephanie Nowell
Assistant Principal
Stephanie Nowell is a dedicated and passionate educational leader with a strong foundation in teaching and administration. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Elizabeth City State University, a Master of School Administration from East Carolina University through the prestigious NC Principal Fellows Program, and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University.
Since beginning her career in education in 2011, Stephanie has gained a wealth of experience, including ten years as a classroom teacher, where she was recognized as Teacher of the Year and consistently took on leadership roles such as grade level chair and committee chair. She also served as a Learning Acceleration Coordinator at the high school level, leading school-wide initiatives focused on student achievement and growth.
In 2022, Stephanie transitioned into school administration and has proudly served as an assistant principal. She brings a collaborative spirit, instructional expertise, and a commitment to student and staff success. Her leadership style is rooted in high expectations, seeking to understand, and collaboration.
Outside of school, Stephanie enjoys life with her husband, daughter, and their beloved dog, Miami. Together, they cherish time at the beach, laughter-filled moments with family, football, and making lasting memories.
Stephanie is thrilled to be a Coyote and serve the ACS community, where she strives to make each year the best for students, staff, and families.
