Mrs. Faulkner brings more than 25 years of experience in education, serving students from elementary through high school in a variety of instructional and leadership roles. Throughout her career, she has worked as a classroom teacher, intervention teacher, reading specialist, ESL teacher, Special Education Department chair, MTSS coordinator, AIG coordinator, instructional coach, and beginning teacher mentor. She is passionate about helping every student reach their full potential while supporting teachers through collaboration, data-driven instruction, and innovative learning practices.

A graduate of Elon University, Mrs. Faulkner is excited to return to Alamance County after many years serving students and families in charter and public schools throughout the Cary/Morrisville area. She appreciates the opportunity to be part of a school that values strong relationships, meaningful learning experiences, and a supportive school community.

Mrs. Faulkner has extensive training in literacy and mathematics interventions, gifted education, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and the Science of Reading. She has many certifications, including Orton-Gillingham, which is a multisensory approach to reading. She believes every child can succeed when provided with engaging instruction, high expectations, and the support needed to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

When Mrs. Faulkner is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending local events and shows, working on home projects, and helping her neighbors.
