Mackenzie Russell earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. As a first-year teacher, she is passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment where all students feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. Through her coursework and field experiences, Mackenzie developed a strong foundation in differentiated instruction, classroom management, and inclusive teaching practices.

Mackenzie lives in Burlington and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves playing with her English Cream Golden Retriever, Emmy, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Whether exploring new places, attending family gatherings, or enjoying activities outside, Mackenzie values making memories with the people she loves. She is excited to begin her teaching career and become a positive influence in the lives of her students.
