Coach Lela has been teaching since 2022 and is excited to continue serving the students of Alamance Community School. Born in Nanning, China, she moved to the United States in 2009. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with minors in Coaching and Business Administration from Chowan University in 2021, followed by a master's degree in Coaching and Sport Leadership from Randolph College in 2022.

A lifelong athlete, Coach Lela's passion for sports began at age 5 and led to a collegiate cross-country scholarship. She is dedicated to helping students develop confidence, teamwork, and a love for physical activity. Outside of school, she enjoys running, cooking, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her husband and their two dogs, Starbie and Rufus.
