Latisha Freeman
EC Facilitator
LaTisha was born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina, before heading to Greensboro to attend North Carolina A&T State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.
Her journey in education began in 2020 as a Middle School Math Resource Exceptional Children (EC) teacher. Building on her early classroom experience, LaTisha went on to earn her Master’s Certificate in Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC). During those foundational years, she focused heavily on meeting the immediate academic, social, and emotional needs of her students; adapting instruction, providing targeted math interventions, and creating a supportive environment to help them navigate complex challenges.
Driven by a passion for early intervention, LaTisha later transitioned to elementary education as an EC teacher. At her core, she is deeply committed to meeting students exactly where they are while building confidence, discovering individual learning styles, and empowering every child to succeed.
Outside of the classroom, LaTisha loves to care for her plants and is an avid reader who loves getting lost in a good book (and is always open to a great book recommendation!).
