Mrs. Essary is excited to begin her fourth year at ACS and feels grateful to be part of such an amazing fifth-grade team. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from Clemson University in South Carolina, where she grew up. While she has taught students from Pre-K through fifth grade, fifth grade has always held a special place in her heart.

One of Julie's greatest passions is teaching American history. She loves helping students discover the people, events, and stories that shaped our country and believes history comes alive when students can connect with it through meaningful discussions, hands-on activities, and real-world connections.

When she's not at school, Mrs. Essary enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to new places, cooking, and curling up with a good book. She can't wait to welcome a new group of fifth graders and is looking forward to another wonderful year of learning, laughter, and growth at ACS!
