Jessica Long is an Alamance County native who owned a small business from 2003-2017 (Xtreme Dance Academy-Mebane) and returned to college at 41 with the expressed desire to teach her passion which is history. Alumni of UNCG with a degree in History and a concentration in secondary education. Jessica will complete her Masters in Middle Grades Teaching Social Studies at UNCC in December of 2026.

Jessica began her teaching career at Williams High School and quickly shifted to middle school. She feels passionate about ensuring students are taught strong executive skills and a desire for learning before they head to high school. Critical thinking while connecting to community and the larger world around them is vital to students future success.

She enjoys spending time with her family, walks in nature, exploring great small towns, and food/cooking!
