Jarrett Pleasant
Dean of Instructional Support and Improvement
Mr. Jarrett Pleasant is an accomplished K-12 administrator and instructional leader with over 22 years of experience driving academic excellence through data-driven strategies. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from William Paterson University and a Master’s degree in Education Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University.
His career in education started in the classroom as a Middle School Social Studies Teacher for eight years and an Elementary School teacher for two years. During his time in the classroom, he was focused on building relationships with students and parents to improve student achievement. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Pleasant had opportunities to work on curriculum and instruction and professional development. With a desire to have a greater impact on student achievement and teacher development, Mr. Pleasant transitioned to school administration. As an administrator, he has worked as an Assistant Principal at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels in Winston Salem/Forsyth County Schools and Edgecombe County Schools.
Mr. Pleasant, his wife, and three sons live in Greensboro, North Carolina. He enjoys reading and spending time with his family.
