Gail Isley

6th Grade ELA

Mrs. Isley is excited to be teaching 6th Grade English Language Arts at Alamance Community School. She earned her Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Literacy from East Carolina University and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNC Greensboro.

Mrs. Isley has been teaching since 2018 and brings a wealth of experience to the classroom. Throughout her career, she has taught 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades and has also served as an Academic Specialist, where she supported teachers, analyzed student data, and helped strengthen instructional practices. Before becoming an educator, she spent 15 years in the banking industry, developing strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills that continue to benefit her students and colleagues.

Mrs. Isley is passionate about helping students become confident readers, writers, and critical thinkers. She believes every student can succeed when they are challenged, supported, and encouraged to grow.

Outside of school, Mrs. Isley has been married for 20 years and is the proud mother of two 27-year-old sons. One proudly serves as a United States Marine, and the other works as a mechanic. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, shopping, and being a lifelong learner by exploring new ideas and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
