Catherine Quick

Catherine Quick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Mary Baldwin University. Catherine has over eighteen years of teaching and curriculum experience. She has been a third grade classroom teacher for the last nine years at Voyager Academy, a charter school in Durham, North Carolina. She has experience with the implementation of Project Based Learning, Responsive Classroom, Guided Reading, Reading and Writing Workshop, and Math Workshop. She has been a classroom teacher for PK - Third Grade, in addition to being a new teacher mentor and EC Facilitator assistant. She has served on her school’s leadership committee and has been a team leader. Catherine believes in the importance of building a school community, where students and staff are given the tools to become lifelong learners. 

Catherine lives in Durham with her husband and two sons, Christian and Andrew. While not in school, Catherine enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and the family dog, Scout. She loves playing tennis and has captained several USTA tennis teams. She is excited about being part of the Alamance Community School family!
