Brianna Burrus was born in Shelby, NC and raised in Winston-Salem where she attended elementary, middle, and high school. Her college journey began at Pitt Community College where she enrolled in the Pirate Promise program and earned an Associates in Arts Degree. Brianna transferred to ECU where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading. This will be her third year teaching.

She has two older sisters, Danielle and Calinda, and two nieces, Abby and Joy. One interesting fact about my oldest niece is that they share the same birthday, October 8. In her free time Brianna enjoys going on vacations with family and friends, reading, napping, and watching movies.
