Amiyna Gasper

1st Grade

Amiyna Gasper is excited to be a part of Alamance Community School. She has been a part of the ACS family since 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors in Religious Studies and Communication-Media Studies from Queens College and a Master of Business Administration from Mercy College. She began her journey in education as a substitute teacher in 2023, working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade in both Alamance-Burlington Schools and local charter schools. This wide range of experience has helped her develop a flexible, student-centered approach to teaching.

Amiyna is passionate about creating a warm and supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued, safe and encouraged to grow. In 2025 she began her journey as a full-time 1st grade teacher. She is excited and looks forward to helping her students build strong foundations in both academics and character.

Originally from New York City, Amiyna and her family moved to North Carolina in 2019. She lives in Alamance County with her husband, Marquis and twin children, Amari and Amaris. Outside of school she enjoys spending quality time with her family, reading, gardening and being involved in her church and local community. Amiyna is looking forward to an amazing year at ACS!
