Alex Welgehausen

Alex Welgehausen was born and raised in the Dallas, Texas area. She is a proud alumni of Elon University where she received her Bachelor’s degrees in Music and Psychology. She participated in Marching Band and Concert Band throughout high school and college, and it was while working with the Marching Band at Eastern Alamance HS as an Elon student that she found her passion for teaching. After working as a substitute teacher in Pennsylvania for a year, Ms. W completed her Music Education licensure at UNCG! She joined the ACS team in 2021 and has loved every minute of it! She has worked to build a strong Music program here at ACS and can’t wait to watch it continue to grow over the next few years.

In her spare time, Ms. W likes to go to the beach, bake, read, and spend time with friends and family. She has a playful kitten named Tang who can drive her a little crazy, but also loves to hang out and watch a movie.
