Greetings, Coyote Families! We have one more week before we all get a well deserved break! Fall Break is near but we have one more push before we get there! Here is what we can look forward to in the week ahead!

KONA ICE DAY IS COMING TO ACS!
Get ready, ACS! We are so excited to announce that Kona Ice is coming to campus!
Friday, October 2nd
Kona Ice will be bringing TWO trucks to ACS and serving delicious Kona Ice slushies to our students!
How Does It Work?
-Parents can pre-order and pre-pay for their child by scanning the QR code or clicking the link provided below.
-When ordering, simply enter your child’s name and select their teacher from the drop-down menu. That’s it! We’ll take care of the rest.
Students will receive their Kona Ice at school on Friday, October 2nd!
We can’t wait to make this a fun and refreshing day for our ACS students!

Fill the Green Bin Drive (Coming soon!)
Alamance Community School and Clothes Bin have partnered to collect and recycle old clothing, shoes and textiles!
So, please do not throw them away!
Just place the items in the green recycling bin near the exit of our campus.
Every pound of recycled items supports Alamance Community School! And keeps items out of landfills!
Below is a list of items that can be placed in our bin and items can be in any condition - stained, worn, torn, etc.

Clothing : pants, jeans, skirts, dresses, suits, shorts, shirts, tees, tanks
Footwear : shoes, boots, heels, sneakers, sandals, socks, tights
Undergarments : bras, underwear, slips, camisoles
Accessories : hats, belts, ties, scarves, headbands
Handbags : wallets, totes, luggage, backpacks, briefcases
Linens : towels, sheets, comforters, blankets, tablecloths
As you clean out the old and bring in the new, you can help the environment and Alamance Community School too!

-Boys Soccer hosted Clover Garden School in a tight 3-0 loss
-Boys Soccer would close out with Burlington Christian Academy in 3-3 Tie!
-Cross Country Asha P. 1st place of 14 girls & Jelena D. 3rd of 14 girls!
-Cross Country Ayden P. 3rd place of 11 boys in PMAC Meet #4.
- Girls Volleyball would remain unbeaten with a win over Gorman Christian Academy! Coyotes Volleyball is 8-0 in conference play and #1 overall in PMAC!

Winter Sports Update
Have an athlete interested in trying out for Cheerleading, Girls Basketball or Boys Basketball? They must have a physical and concussion form on file with the ACS Athletic Department. Want a $20 physical exam? Have your athlete come get a $20 physical voucher from Coach Long.
Coyote Parent Pack:
Fall Sports Parents athletes $25 Fall Participation fee must be paid by this week! Required for all ACS students athletes. Please check your athletes infinite campus account to make payment today.
ACS Athletes are competing in athletics, and benefit from nutritious snacks. If you would like to support our Fall ACS athletes with healthy snacks and drinks like waters, oranges, Nutri-Grain bars, Gatorade zero, salt free pretzels, trail mix and more please email me directly dlong@alamancecommunityschool.net

Important Safety Notice Regarding the Sky Sphere Prize
Student safety is our top priority. We are reaching out regarding a potential defect discovered in the Sky Sphere prize awarded during our recent Booster fundraiser.
Although Booster has received only a small number of reports, we ask that all families who received a Sky Sphere stop using it immediately.
Booster’s team is handling all next steps directly. They will send an email by the end of the day on September 25th with specific instructions for every impacted family.

Trunk or Treat!
ACS will host our first Annual Trunk or Treat on October 28th! This will take place from 4:30 - 6:30pm, along with some great academic 'take-home' activities. More information to come!
Coyote Cafe is Back!
Please stop by the Elementary Gym every Thursday from 7:45-8:15am for a delicious snack or drink for only $1. All proceeds benefit the ACS Food Pantry.
