Wendy Lane
EC Teacher
Wendy Lane is a lifelong resident of Alamance County. As a mother of four children, she has learned that the best way to prevail in any situation is through patience, good humor, and optimism. She brings these qualities to the classroom, believing that every child is capable of learning new things and her job is to help them flourish.
She began her career working in the insurance and construction industries after graduating from UNCG with a BS in Management and Marketing. She discovered her passion for education through years of serving as a youth group leader, volunteering in her children’s classrooms, and working as a substitute teacher with ABSS. She worked in the EC Department at EM Yoder Elementary for 10 years where she completed the lateral entry licensing program in Special Education before joining the Alamance Community School staff as an electives teacher.
Since becoming an ACS Coyote in 2021, Mrs. Lane has worked with all grade levels teaching Global Connections and Leadership classes, providing interventions and support to EC and ELL students, working with ACS Ambassadors and Student Council, and assisting with summer STEM camps. She is excited to join the EC Department in ensuring that students with disabilities have the support they need to reach their full potential.
