Kate has been an educator for seventeen years, seven of which have been teaching science, her true passion in and out of the classroom. She is an avid gardener, a mother to five cats, and a singer/songwriter in her spare time.

She has been married to her husband, Jeremy, for nearly eleven years, and they have made a lovely home for themselves in Gibsonville, NC. Kate would choose the mountains over the beach any day of the week– she would rather feel dirt than sand beneath her feet! She loves making spaces, inside and out, beautiful, comfortable, and inviting, so her classroom is always bright and exciting!
