Jennie Marcum

EC Teacher

Jennie Marcum is excited to join the EC team at ACS. She was born in New York and grew up in Ohio, she holds a bachelor’s in fine art from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MS in psychology with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Harold Abel School of Psychology at Capella University. She continues her graduate studies in Special Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Mrs. Marcum has a decade of experience serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Jennie is trained in professional crisis management and trauma informed care. She previously worked for Durham Public Schools in a Self-Contained Autism classroom. Jennie moved to Burlington in the summer of 2022 where she lives with her husband and three daughters. Outside of teaching Mrs. Marcum enjoys going to see live music, crafting, going to the mountains and having movie nights with her family. She is thrilled to be a member of the ACS community!
