Jennie Marcum is entering her third year teaching at Alamance Community School as an EC Teacher. She holds a Master’s in Special Education from UNC Charlotte, a Master's in Psychology from Capella University, a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a Bachelor’s in Special Education from UNC Charlotte.

Mrs. Marcum has been a teacher since 2020 when she began teaching in Durham in a self contained autism classroom. Mrs. Marcum has training in professional crisis management, trauma informed care and experience working with individuals with disabilities since 2012. Mrs. Marcum loves teaching and supporting students to achieve their goals. Outside of the classroom, she is married, has three daughters, too many pets, enjoys making art, watching movies and relaxing with her family.
