Sarah Mayle

Sarah Mayle is delighted to be a member of the Alamance Community School staff. She is a graduate of Duke University, is licensed in both elementary and gifted education, and has been working in education since 2007. With a Master’s in Elementary Education, her classroom experience includes teaching Kindergarten, first, and fourth grades, as well as serving for seven years as a STEM and AIG specialist at a local elementary school. As the talent development facilitator for a nearby school district, she supported and coached teachers to differentiate and enrich curriculum for all learners. In each of these roles, Sarah has advocated for authentic learning experiences for all students, and she believes in facilitating a learning environment in which students are given opportunities to take ownership of their learning through problem solving and inquiry.
