Ms. Patti Donohue is the Art teacher at Alamance Community School. Ms. Donohue has six years experience in K-12 Visual Art Education. Her BS degree was earned at Francis Marion University in Florence, SC.
Prior to her teaching career, Ms. Donohue worked in the home furnishings industry as a woven textile designer. She earned her AAS degree in Textile Surface Design at SUNY F.I.T. in Manhattan.
Ms. Donohue loves providing thoughtful opportunities for students to explore and engage in art. She believes there is joy to be felt by children through experimenting with and practicing art of all kinds. In addition, she believes the study and practice of art allows students to look both inward and outward—expressing their ideas and making connections to the world around them.
Along with learning new things about art, family, friends, pets and plants top Ms. Donohue’s favorites list. Her two dogs, Sky and Star are dog park fanatics!
