Pam Snyder

Intervention Specialist

Mrs. Snyder has lived in NC for the last year. She retired in 2021 after teaching Grade 6 and Title 1 Reading for a combined 24 ½ years in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York State. She holds a BS.Ed and a M.Ed in Literacy from Elmira College. Moving to NC after retirement to be closer to her grown children, she knew she was not ready to leave the classroom fully. She taught part-time Title 1 Reading in Durham during the 21-22 school year.

Mrs. Snyder has always created a warm and nurturing environment where children feel loved, heard, and respected. “Building a strong student rapport is critical for learning.” She looks forward to serving the students of Alamance Community School, helping them to become more confident and competent readers.

Mrs. Snyder lives in Mebane and enjoys cooking, going for long walks and short runs, reading, and following collegiate sports as well as the Boston Red Sox. She spends as much time as possible visiting her daughter’s family, including her 2 grandchildren who live in the area. She also has a son who lives in SC. that she also enjoys visiting.
